Things To Do Near Manchanabele Dam Overview

Manchanabele Dam is about 18 km from Ramanagara and also comes from the side of Magadi. It is constructed for irrigation. This dam also provides water for the Magadi town now. This dam was built across the Arkavathi River. The land covered for irrigation under this project is called "Thore small" because all the villages come on the two sides of river Arkavathi; in Kannada ", there" means river and "small" means line. This place is good for your weekend refreshment. Please do not swim in the backwater; only enjoy nature. It is a place where they do kayaking.

Also, this is one of the notable trekking places near bangalore, which can be visited during the day and at night. Undertaking a trek on the trail up the hill on a night of full moon is one of the adventurous things that you can do at Manchanabele. At the top of the mountain, the display of natural beauty around you will be an enchantment to cherish!

MANCHANABELE DAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Manchanabele is a village located out of the  skirt of Bangalore. The only thing that makes this location  famous  is the picture dam and the reservoir, which is adjacent to this dam. It is just a 40km  drive from Bangalore. It is now  fast becoming a favoured weekend gateway for the population of Bangalore because of its peaceful surroundings, natural scenic beauty, and the serenity that this place offers to people.

  • Manchanabele Dam is built across the Arkavathy River, and this dam draws many tourists, adventure-seeking  visitors, families, and groups of friends. It is a mighty reservoir used to promote farming and irrigation in the nearby areas.

  • The presence of the reservoir has led to the formation of a beautiful lake on which activities such as boating and kayaking are conducted. It is also popular amongst tourists because of the incredible natural beauty that one can witness near the Manchanabele Dam.

  • Although the reservoir has been one of the places that many people have always explored and swum within, due to a few incidents, it is currently cordoned off and out of reach for the public.  However,  from a distance, you can  view the entire expanse of the lake and the reservoir, and you may catch a spectacular sunset view from the lake's proximity. Because of  its popularity, many adventure resorts and retreats have come up.

  • Manchanabele Dam  can be reached from Dabbaguli village or from Magadi Road , where most of the accommodations are available . It is a breathtaking place for a day trip or just a relaxing weekend outing with your friends and loved ones.
