Bilikal Ranganatha Swamy Betta is a hill that lies near Kanakapura town in the state of Karnataka, India. It is 70 km south of Bangalore city. The hilltop has a temple dedicated to Lord Ranganatha Swamy. A vast granite rock houses a temple and an adjacent quarter underneath. The hill is also known as Billikal Betta due to the whitish rocks near the summit that are visible from a long distance. The peak is at a height of 3780 feet (1152 m).

The best time to visit Bilikal Rangaswamy is between April and June and between November and March. During this time, the weather is quite pleasant, and the atmosphere turns into a lovely display of ambient colours. From July to October, the hilltop witnesses the rainy season, which must be avoided when visiting Bilikal Rangaswamy.
The monsoon season is not one of the best times to visit Bilikal Rangaswamy. The wet roads and slippery trails make it very tiresome and difficult to stay afoot, and the terrain can be a major problem to traverse.
Always carry enough water with you to avoid incidents of dehydration.
Ensure you wear comfortable clothes and footwear to avoid unease.
Since the trail is long, ensure you are physically fit to undertake the trek. Exercising and stretching activities a few days before the trek might be helpful.
For a night trek, make sure that you are equipped with adequate torches and batteries, which will be very useful.
The nearest airport is Kempegowda International Airport. You can hire a taxi to reach Bilikere. It takes around 3-4 hours to go.
Drive from Mysore (25 km) or Bangalore (170 km) through NH 275. There are buses and auto-rickshaws too.
The nearest railway station is Mysore Railway Station, which is 25 km away, and from there, take a taxi, auto, or bus to the hillock.
